About

Design for quiet, brighter moments.
Life with little ones moves fast, but your tools don’t have to be loud. We make quietly refined essentials that ease the in-between—clean lines, soft tones, and instant access when you need it. Built with care to wipe clean and last, wherever the day takes you—because tanto means “a lot”: a lot of love, a lot of calm.
Why quiet design matters
Most diaper bags are big—visually loud and functionally busy. The thing you reach for mostーbaby wipesーis often the hardest to find. We designed for the opposite: a calm silhouette that blends in, and a one-motion wipe access that removes the rummaging. Quiet on the outside, frictionless in use.
Handcrafted in Japan, made to last.
Each piece is small-batch crafted in Japan from premium, Japanese-made vegan leather—engineered for luxury automotive standards, hard-wearing, shape-retaining, and wipe-clean. From stitch tension to hand-finished edges and carefully set hardware, every detail is tuned for daily longevity—quiet quality you feel, day after day.
Created by moms, for moms
When our kids were born, time for ourselves got small. Building tanto.baby became a way to keep a sense of self—through calm design, color, and the little compliments that brighten a day. We want that feeling to travel. Tools that make life easier, and quietly let you feel like you again.
Materials / Care / Responsibility
Materials
We use premium, Japanese-made vegan leather originally developed for luxury automotive seating—chosen for its hard-wearing durability, shape retention, and refined hand feel. The surface is wipe-clean, so everyday spills and smudges come off with a damp cloth.
Some colorways are made with responsibly upcycled off-cuts; when that’s the case, it’s clearly noted on the product page.
Care
Wipe clean with a damp, non-abrasive cloth; spot clean only. Avoid bleach, harsh solvents, or alcohol-based cleaners on the material or hardware. Allow to air dry and store loosely packed to help maintain shape.
Responsibility
We design for longevity, ship plastic-lite, and favor fewer, better tools. As we grow, we’ll share materials mix and waste-reduction updates annually.
